Spring is in the air and we’re excited to see that many fun activities and events will be happening this holiday weekend.
Looking for some family-friendly entertainment for the first non-quarantine Easter since 2019?
We’ve put together a list of several local events you may want to check out:
Easter at the Bunker
Diefenbunker Museum, Carp
Friday, April 15th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Explore local history while celebrating the arrival of spring at the Diefenbunker. There will be an Easter-themed scavenger hunt, games, and crafts. After completing the activities, children will be given a goody bag to take home.
Note: For this activity, you will need to buy tickets ahead of time to reserve your place due to capacity limits.
Annual Bunny Run
Downtown Carleton Place
Saturday, April 16th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The annual Bunny Run is a free event that takes place in Carleton Place’s BIA. Festivities kick off at the library, where the children’s librarian will read a story for the kids. Families will also receive a clue sheet. The clues will elad them to participating businesses, where they can collect prizes. There will also be live music happening outside the Chamber of Commerce on Bridge Street.
The Bunny Hop
Ashfield Farm, Ashton
Saturday, April 16th from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Enjoy some Easter-themed fun on the farm. Ride a pony, snuggle some bunnies, and take part in the Easter egg hunt. There will also be crafts, snacks, and time to explore the kids’ play area. This is a ticketed event.
Carp Easter Market
Carp Farmer’s Market, Carp
Saturday, April 16th from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed event for all ages, check out the Carp Easter Market. Carp’s famous farmer’s market is back with lots of seasonal goodies and familiar vendors. Visitors to the market are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for local charities.
